Conference Highlights
Yea, another goal reached. A second blog. post this month.
I recently attended a, Global Celebration, conference in
Fort Lauderdale for five days. Being at a conference this long
was a stretch for me, strength wise. Another challenge
was that I had fallen two days prior to departure. No broken bones
but tendons stretched and painful. My recovery was remarkably
fast. By time to go, only a slight limp remained.
All expectations of a fun adventure with friends and a time
of expanded joy were met at the conference.
The first speaker was James Goll. He provided
lodes of scriptures for this year. Lots of notes to study on.
The next speaker, Lance Wallnaw, was a pleasant surprise.
His talk was very encourageing. He is known as a
motivational teacher. This was fulfilled as my expectations
to impact for God's Kingdome were raised to a new level.
Julie Meyers led worship. She pulled us into true sacrifices
of praise.
Winnie Banov, as always, reminded us that we are co-co'd
with Christ. Co-crucified, buried, and risen with Him.
A special surprise was finding that Roland Baker of
Iris Ministry's was there. He infused with resurrection joy.
He had been so sick that he was said to be in a vegetative
state and is now fully restored. He said, "I was dead and
alive is better". His wife Heidi spoke and expectations of
God's power loosed on Earth were raised to new heights.
So many new friends were found among the 1,900 attending.
I told one lady, "we have all of eternity to hear each other's
story. I'll look you up".
Favor was there to sell my books and I should have taken more
copies with me.
Once again, after attending a conference, I have notes to
study and scriptures to meditate on for a good while.
A friend recently gave me a book of Walt Whitman's writings.
I am loving it and writing many new poems while reading his
inspiring words. Maybe by next month I will have some of them on the
computer to share.
With special love for you, I share the following of my writings:
The Name of the Lord
Jesus
what other name
surrounds You
with arms that lift
and carry
Jesus
the name that can change
disaster
into thanksgiving
Jesus
strong
ready to spring into action
He sits beside
the still waters
He lifts the overflowing
cup
to parched lips
He holds all matter together
and still listens intently
to your every prayer
A strong fortress
no matter how small
your danger be
Run to Him
and rest in safety.
First Choice
Your eyes are on me
Your unfailing love
has captured my desires
How can I let distractions
of the temporal
keep me from hearing
the call of Your eternal
purpose
for my life
Let Your unfailing love
wrap me
cloth me
So that any move I make
rustles into eternity
and fills Your Kingdome
with a sound
that draws attention
to You
Who fills all things
and surrounds me
with sounds of deliverance
Let the pounding
of my heart
match the thunder
of Heaven
As You determine
how You will seal
Your good intentions
for my life today
My hope is in You
my lord.
Spirit's Flame
Mystical union with God
with love
intoxicates
spines you 'round
perspective perfected
Priorities
lost in the mist
The moist of passion
refined
in His flame
of love.

Manatees and Birds
Feb. 2011 Blog.
Manatees and Birds
January has flown by.
Today we are getting a taste of spring, 78 degrees.
I am overdressed and have the doors open.
Two outdoor adventures to report.
The first, a trip to Blue Springs to see the manatees.
They travel up into the spring for the warmer water.
We saw over 50.
The sky and crystal clear water were beautiful.
The view included spreading oaks adorned with
hanging moss and ferns.
This week it was a trip to the birding trail on
Cape Kennedy.
We saw herons, egrets, storks and, the most
exciting, two pink spoonbills.
I'm reading a book on the sevenfold Holy Spirit,
Seven Spirits Burning by John Crowder.
This is one of my favorite topics to study.
In the chapter on the Spirit of Understanding,
he points out that this deals with interpreting
the unseen realm and providing comprehension.
With a reference to Isaiah chapter 11.
The chapter on the Spirit of Might points out that
this is the actual energy of God flowing through us,
referencing Matthew chapter 10.
This Holy Spirit flow births realities from the
spiritual realm into the visible realm.
The Bible passage that I am meditating on this week
was referred to at the ladies Bible study I attend
on Tuesdays.
It's found in Joshua chapter 3.
..." the Lord will do amazing things among you".
I expect because God is a restorer of all things.
The following poems are from my journal writings
over the last two weeks.
Change
The power to transform
begins
with whose you are
Then
see what needs leveled
and smoothed
Providing
a clear path
for rivers of joy
ready to be released
as Christ rides
and justice prevails
Uniting
enabling freedom
to create
and co-operate
Pleasure
to be found
in His constant care.
Reality
Look ahead
into the heart of God
into what is beyond
the natural laws of man
See His possible
transformed
from impossible
in human eyes
into crystal clear
reality
As you enter in
be joined
as kingly heirs
A life of faith
made solid substance
through Christ's
all powerful love.
Christ In _
Expectations
When you know
whose you are
and have a clear view
of who dwells in you
Amazing follows.
God is Love
Inexhaustible
love's download
Give
and more
keeps piling up
until
the tipping point
unloads
to change
the world.
